Sea trawler "Komsomolets of Latvia"

In connection with the 40-anniversary of patronage of Komsomol above Navy fleet and for the achieved successes in socialist competition and a high level of fighting and political preparation in 1962 the ship has been named "Komsomolets of Latvia".

The ship took part in post-war fighting a trawler, frequently there was in distant a navigation. In 1970 "Komsomolets of Latvia" participated in maneuvers "Ocean", took part in doctrines of allied fleet. Since 1977 carries a rank "the excellent ship".

At members of the Komsomol and youth of Latvia strong communications with the sponsored ship. Often visitors of seamen there are veterans of a party, fleet, the Latvian pointers, young workers and collective farmers. Among members of the Komsomol of the ship it is a lot of representatives of Komsomol of Latvia. The majority of them honours pupils of fighting and political preparation, highly skilled soldiers.

The Komsomol organization of the ship is awarded for the achieved successes in communistic education of youth, a high level of fighting and political preparation by a memorable pendant of a Central Committee of VLKSM and repeatedly awarded with a passing Red banner of Central Committee LKSM of Latvia.
