The big submarine-huntung ship "Komsomolets of Ukraine"

To one of the modern ships of Navy fleet of the USSR to the big submarine-huntung ship in honour of the 40-anniversary of patronage of Komsomol above Navy fleet is appropriated the name "Komsomolets of Ukraine".

The submarine-huntung ship is intended for search, prosecutions and destructions submarines of the opponent in the removed areas of the sea and is armed with submarine-huntung helicopters, rockets, torpedos, deep bombs.

The ship repeatedly took part in long campaigns to Mediterranean sea, the Atlantic and Indian oceans. Participated in maneuvers "Ocean". All tasks of long navigation carried out with estimations "well" and "perfectly". For qualitative performance of educational and fighting tasks the ship was repeatedly awarded with letters and prizes of the Commander-in-chief of the Navy.

At crew of the ship have developed and supported close patronage of communication with Vinnitsa city committee LKSMU. On military - patriotic education of youth the ship has been awarded for successes in fighting and political preparation and active work as three memorable banners of city committee of Komsomol. The best members of the Komsomol from Vinnitsa area go under Komsomol permits to serve on the sponsored ship.
