Fleet attendanced torpedo boat "Moscow komsomolets"
In connection with the 40-anniversary of VLKSM and patronage of the Moscow
Komsomol over Northern fleet in 1958 the ship has received name "Moscow komsomolets".
Fleet attendanced torpedo boats are solved with numerous tasks, including destruction
of the underwater and surface ships and courts of the opponent, protection of
the large ships and escorts from attacks of enemy destroyers, submarines and torpedo
boats, carrying out of investigation, patrol, bombardment of coast, statement
of mine obstacles.
The ship repeatedly was in long navigation, has passed many thousand miles,
Tangier (Morocco), Reykjavik (Iceland) and Oslo (Norway) came with business and
official visits to ports. By the ship the majority of staff - the honours pupils
of fighting and political preparation who were many of them class experts.
The Moscow Komsomol organization supports with the ship strong patronage of
communication. Delegations of seamen frequently are welcome guests members of
the Komsomol in Moscow, participate in work of Komsomol conferences. Muscovites
send the delegations on the ship, report to seamen about the successes in work.
The Komsomol organization of the ship is awarded for the achieved successes in
communistic education of members of the Komsomol and youth, successes in fighting
and political preparation by a passing Red banner and the Certificate of honour
of the Moscow committee of VLKSM.
